The Bishop of Lango Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa has applauded government for the improved road network in most western districts of Uganda.
Prof. Olwa says the improved road network has made transport means easy hence leading to development of other services.
The Man of God sounded the remarks today afternoon while addressing the congregation at the 4th Convention of South Rwenzori Diocese that is ongoing at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town under the theme, “Conforming to the truth of God’s word for transformation,” drawn from the Biblical Book of Romans 12:1-2.
Bishop Olwa stressed that because of the good roads; the people in Rwenzori region can now travel to Kampala and reach within hours unlike the past where they would take a few days without reaching the Capital City to buy goods for their businesses.
He therefore appealed to the Christians to appreciate the efforts of government towards service delivery.
In his preaching, Bishop Olwa observed need for the Christians to always stick on the name of God. According to him, the Almighty is ready to stand with his people in all situations.
He also discouraged Christians from the act of committing suicide whenever they are in a financial crisis.
In his remarks, the South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku urged the congregation to love and support the Diocese and all her projects including Messiah Radio, Trinity SACCO, Liturgical and Resource Centre among others.
