Bishop Kibira tells parents to ensure good parenting

BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

Rt. Rev. Acquirinus Kibira, Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, emphasized the importance of parents nurturing their children through religion to foster moral and spiritual growth.

This, he believes, is essential for raising good citizens.

Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony celebrating Sr. Marcelina Biira Malikidogo’s 25 years of service, Bishop Kibira commended Sr. Malikidogo’s parents for guiding her spiritual growth.

He stressed that parents have a responsibility to direct their children in religion, culture, and education.

Bishop Kibira quoted Jeremiah 1:4-10, urging Christians to understand their culture, origin, and purpose.

He outlined four key reasons for human creation: to know God, love Him, work for Him, and be with Him.

Additionally, Bishop Kibira cautioned couples against domestic violence, emphasizing its detrimental impact on family development.

He advised men to avoid actions that could lead to violence and instead promote peaceful family environments.
