The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has strongly warned the residents in Kasese against the act of incest that has again been reported in the district.
Last Friday, a man identified as Hosea Bikoba was arrested by police and detained at Kasese Central Police Station on allegations of engaging himself in love affairs with his own biological daughter aged 14.
While preaching to the congregation yesterday at All Saints Maghoma Church of Uganda Parish in Ibanda Archdeaconry where he had gone to confirm 49 Christians into the Anglican faith, the Bishop condemned what he described as barbaric and satanic acts, attributing to the selfishness and failure to mind about the harm that would be caused to other people.
He asked men to always give chance to young school going girls so that they are prevented from the future misery.
The Prelate appealed to the stepmothers to stop punishing their stepchildren at the expense of the co-wives.
He warned the fathers against the practice of receiving dowry from their young children.
