Two ICT sections aimed at equipping the learners with computer skills in order for them to fit in the fast growing digital era have been launched at Kamaiba Primary School and St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School located in Kasese town.
The two facilities were launched officially by the South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku.
In his address to the teachers at the two Diocesan Institutions of learning, the Bishop said the Diocesan Plan was to modernize the learning process by 2030.
Each of the two institutions was given ten computers with support from St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral in Tallahassee, Florida in the US, one of the friends of South Rwenzori Diocese.
Mr. Dan Benon Masereka, the Headteacher at Kamaiba Primary School applauded the Bishop for the donation that he described as timely for the benefit of the learners.
Mr. Jockus Muhindo, the Headteacher at St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School described the donation as a surprise to the institution.
