The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has encouraged couples to always have respect and mutual love for their spouses as an alternative way of eliminating cases related to domestic violence in their respective families.

Bishop Baluku who was speaking to the congregation that had thronged St. Andrew’s Buhunga Church of Uganda Parish in Maliba Archdeaconry attributed most domestic violence cases to the alleged failure by some couples to show mutual love to their spouses.

The Prelate, who confirmed 20 Christians into the Anglican faith, also encouraged the entire congregation to stay firm and calm coupled with putting their trust in the Lord.

Earlier, in his preaching under theme, “Being among the many that would have everlasting life,” the Man of God who quoted the Biblical Book of Revelation 7:13-17, reminded the Christians of what they are required to do in order to enter the Kingdom of God

On their part, the confirmants pledged that they would diligently to God’s work since they had been commissioned by the Bishop.
