Mr. Joneni Bwambale Bamwenda, one of the Busongora County North’s Parliamentary hopefuls has challenged leaders in Kasese district to stop politicizing development projects in their respective areas but instead advocate for their improvement.

Mr. Bamwenda sounded the challenge yesterday while speaking to the residents of Mbata Parish in Bwesumbu Sub-county where he had gone to support the construction works of Mbata Health Centre II.

Through his Trumpet Foundation, a Community Based Organization, Mr. Bamwenda donated building materials to support the noble cause.

He told the residents that yesterday’s donation was the not the first one and pledged to donate more materials until the project is completed, challenging politicians not to politicize such a development project.

Mr. Charles Siriwanzirwe, a VHT in the area hailed Mr. Bamwenda for his continued support to the construction works of their health facility, appealing to other leaders to join hands and support the project that he said would curtail the residents from moving long distances in search of health services.

Some of the administrators of the health facility revealed that besides yesterday’s donation of 70 pieces of timber, wire mesh, nails and a trip of sand, Mr. Bamwenda had the previous donated 25 bags of cement and constructed a latrine for them. ENDS
