They were arrested yesterday in Kasese town in an intelligence led operation and are currently detained at Kasese Central Police Station on a charge of aggravated robbery.

SP Nelson Tumushime, the Regional Police Spokesperson has confirmed the development to Messiah Radio and identified the suspects as Paul Kamoga, a resident of Nakawa in Kampala and Lawrence Ruyima, a resident of Zaana in Kampala.

Mr. Martin Safari, the Chairperson of the Central Division in Kasese Municipality that houses almost all banks in the urban centre, says the suspects were among other stolen items, arrested with over 10 bags.

He has encouraged the residents who use banks to always use authorized officials and agents while withdrawing their money.

Mr. Safari also warns the residents against the practice of giving time and paying attention to people that are not best known to them.
