Girls in Kasese district have been commended for their quick response towards gaining vocational skills to supplement their various professions.
The remarks were sounded yesterday by Mr. Eddie Okila, the Executive Director at House of Talent and a team leader of the ongoing training by the Uganda Communications Commission at the Kasese District Multipurpose hall in Kasese town.
The Uganda Communications Commission is currently conducting a four – day training on skilling the youth in ICT, multimedia and entrepreneurship skills. The training that started on Tuesday June 04, 2024 is expected to end tomorrow Friday June 07, 2024.
According to him, ever since they started conducting trainings, Kasese district has taken the first position in terms of female representation at the training.
He was therefore optimistic that the skills acquired from the training would boost the participants’ content in ICT and social media as well improving the trainees’ public speaking skills.
