The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has asked the people living at the fish landing sites in Kasese district to put their trust in the Lord for the success of their businesses.
Bishop Baluku sounded the remarks yesterday while speaking to the fishermen and business community at Kayanja Fish Landing Site in Nyakiyumbu Sub-county where he had gone for his pastoral works.
The Prelate reminded the business community at the Fish landing site that it was only the Lord who would enable them to succeed in the activities that they are engaged in.
Later in his preaching to the congregation at St. Andrew’s Kayanja Church of Uganda in Kyempara Parish, Bwera Archdeaconry, Bishop Baluku, who quoted the Biblical Book of first Peter 3:8 -18, reminded the Christians to live as God’s people despite the challenges that they face in the hostile world.
According to him, there was need for humbleness but not revenge, adding that evil should not be paid with another evil.
He stressed that whoever humbles himself attracts blessings from the Lord, stating that their prayers are also answered.
During the function, the Man of God officially inaugurated St. Andrew’s Kayanja Church of Uganda and confirmed 106 Christians into the Anglican faith.
