The construction works of two hostel facilities worth shillings 720 million have been launched at St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School in Kamaiba Ward of the Central Division in Kasese Municipality.
The exercise that started with groundbreaking today morning was officiated over by the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku.
Bishop Baluku explained that it has always been his dream to have the learners both girls and boys at the institution which is situated at the Diocesan headquarters to be accommodated within the school premises and in modern structures.
The prelate thus hailed the Christians at St. Paul’s Cathedral for standing firm with him and in prayer to have his dream of constructing the girls’ and boys’ hostels at the institution come true.
The Man of God subsequently explained that once completed, the hostels would serve two purposes including accommodating the learners during the course of the term and contributing money to the Bishop’s Office through accommodating visitors who might come along looking for a resting place during school holiday breaks.
In his remarks at the ceremony, the Sub-dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Ven. Charles Mbusa commended Bishop Baluku for his tireless efforts towards the development of the institution of learning that is currently providing educational services to the Christians.
