KCHEF seeks for shillings 2.4 billion to complete the construction works of Kasese Community Medical Centre

The Management of Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation formerly Bishop Masereka Christian Foundation is looking for shillings 2.4 billion for the completion of Kasese Community Medical Centre.

To raise the above amount of money, a mega fundraising slated for May 04, 2024 has been organized with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the Chief Guest.

Bishop (Rtd) Zebedee Kahangwa Masereka, the Founder of Kasese Community Medical Centre told the press that to expand the operations and services of the health facility, in 2022 they launched its construction works at a new site on plot 7, Stanley Street in Kasese town at a tune of shillings 4.5 billion.

 He, however, explained that during the launch they were able to collect shillings 2.1 billion which has been spent up to the roofing level.

He was hopeful that the remaining balance would be realized during the mega fundraising drive which is expected to be attended by high profile ranking officials and the community members.

Ms Veronica Ndagano, the Executive Director at Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation, explained that because of limited space, the health facility sometimes becomes unable to for key services, a reason why they appeal to the general public to back to the facility.

Mrs. Aidaloy Mbabazi Syauswa, the Board Chairperson at Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation said she was optimistic that once the facility is completed, it would give them a leeway to introduce other important health services.
