Christians in Kasese district have been challenged to abide by the commandments of God and seek for his wisdom if they are to live longer on earth.

The challenge was sounded by Rev. Julius Ngangasi, the Vicar at Mirami Anglican Parish in Lhubiriha Archdeaconry, South Rwenzori Diocese while preaching during a thanksgiving service of Mzee Isaac Sibilhondire Kithi Muharura at St. Peters’ Kisolholho Church of Uganda.

Mzee Kithi, a resident of Kisolholho village was expressing his gratitude to God for enabling him reach 105 years of age, passing him through serious ailments and other worldly temptations.

Rev. Ngangasi explained that the wisdom from God comes along with a lot of benefits that help one to nurture his children, love each other and lead a prolonged life.

The Man of God used the same platform to caution the youth against alcoholism and promiscuity which he said pose a threat to the lives of people.

He also urged the mothers to give adequate time to their children and the rest of the people that they take care of in their families so that they mould them in a Godly manner.

Representing Mzee Kithi who no longer speaks loudly, Lay reader Godfrey Sunday Muharura, a grandson noted that the family thought it wise to organize for the thanksgiving because they did not know that their grandfather would live this long having battled several ailments.
