One of the Bukonzo East Constituency parliamentary hopefuls, Edwin Bayiringa Kugonza has been permitted by his clan members, the Kinyabiriho Box 9 to go ahead with his political ambitions.
Last week, Kugonza publically declared his intentions to participate in the NRM party primary elections.
He has so far informed the office of Resident District Commissioner and the district NRM office and key senior citizens subscribing to both NRM and other political parties.
On Saturday, he met the Kinyabiriho Box 9 clan members and they had no reason why they would deny him the chance to exercise his franchise and representing the constituency if he eventually wins the party primaries.
Nelson Kahihi Masereka, the clan head said that Kugonza has a good track record through his community and personal assignments.
On his part, Kugonza assured the clan members that he clearly understood the roles of a member of parliament and assured them of representing the constituency without regret.
Mr. Jenan Bwambale, an NRM staunch hailing from Kyondo sub-county welcomed Kugonza’s political ambitions and assured him of his support.
