A section of residents from Muhokya Town Council, Busongora County South in Kasese district has appealed to all political candidates to always endeavor to fulfill their pledges once they get elected into offices.
Some of the residents opined that there was a tendency for leaders to abandon some places after the election season.
Ms Lamesi Biira, a resident of Kinyabakazi cell noted that the area grapples with a lot of challenges including the lack of a government-grant aided primary school and a lack of health centre within the same area.
Ms Biira, who was addressing FDC candidates at Kinyabakazi trading centre who were on their campaign trail in Muhokya Town Council, pleaded with the candidates to endeavor to fulfill their pledges once voted into their respective offices.
Tabu Kauka, the acting Chairperson for Lyemibuuza Cell, decried the poor road network and the inadequate social services in the area.
Mr. Tabu asked the candidates to return to the area and make good of all the promises they are making in their quest to occupy leadership positions.
Geofrey Sibendire Bigogo, the FDC flagbearer for the position of district chairperson said the FDC in its manifesto has signed a social contract with the people of Kasese to effectively address the challenges of the district.
