BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

Leaders of the different institutions of learning in Kasese district have been encouraged to always organize some career guidance sessions for the learners so that they are guided on the next course of action after completing both primary and secondary school levels.

The encouragement was given over the weekend by the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Florence Kabugho while addressing both teachers and learners at Mutanywana Secondary School in Kyarumba Town Council.

According to Hon. Kabugho, career guidance sessions in schools help the learners to create self-awareness and make informed choices about the education among other benefits.

The legislator also noted that career guidance provides learners with the essential planning skills, clear path to achieve goals and increases confidence in their capabilities to navigate the future.

In a different development, Robert Asingya Muthoma, the Kasese Municipality NUP flag bearer for the parliamentary seat has appealed to the government to address the issue of increasing the teachers’ salaries, arguing that the primary seven candidates who are soon doing their final exams need full attendance of the instructors in order for them to be able to excel.
