The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop has commended the Church of Uganda founded schools in Kasese district for their dominance, good and exemplary performance in the National Examinations.
Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku sounded the remarks yesterday while addressing the Head teachers and Heads of other institutions across the Diocese at Sr. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town.
According to the Bishop, over 80% of the schools in Kasese district are Church of Uganda founded, adding that they have also maintained their excellent performance in the National Examinations.
It is upon the above background that the Prelate has urged the teachers who are posted to the Church of Uganda founded schools to always work hard and sustain the good performances so that the institutions of learning continue shining.
Rev. Alice Nabirye, the Secretary for South Rwenzori Diocesan Academic Committee happily told the Head teachers that in the 2024 National Examinations, 87% of the candidates in the Church of Uganda founded schools in Kasese district passed in Divisions I and II hence making the institutions benchmarking centres of other schools in the Rwenzori Sub-region.
Rev. Asa Masereka Kiriaghe, the Director of Education in South Rwenzori Diocese encouraged the teachers to always go by the aims and objectives, visions and missions of the schools they are posted to.
