BY ISAAC MUMBERE

The youth in Kasese district have been encouraged to always get involved in some sports activities and shy away from political influence in a bid for them to develop their talents.

The encouragement was sounded last evening by Mr. Douglas Yofesi Saturday Madaraka, the Chief Executive Officer for Madaraka Cares and Madaraka Microfinance while addressing the people who had thronged Nyakasanga Playground in Kasese town for the finals of the first edition of Madaraka cup.

Mr. Madaraka explained that when the youth come together regardless of their political affiliations, they make a strong team and informed decisions to make them excel in their career of talent development.

He promised continued support to the youth through sponsoring sports tournaments especially in football, netball and volleyball and other related activities.

He also asked them to desist from tribalism as they prepare for the forthcoming 2026 General Elections.

K- Milan Sports Club managed to take the trophy after defeating Railway Sports Club 4:3 in penalty shoots.
