Dr Julius Monday Bwambale Rude, the Bukonzo County East Parliamentary hopeful in Kasese has pledged to continue supporting some sports activities as one of the ways of curbing immoral behaviours among the youth.
He made the pledge on Friday at Kisinga Playground in Kisinga Town Council during the finals of the fourth edition of his tournament.
Dr. Rude said it has always been his dream seeing the young people being involved in a number of sports activities including football, netball and volleyball which according to him help them share their experiences in different fields.
He used the same platform to advise the youth to always elect leaders who care about them as well as thinking about their challenges.
He also pledged to lobby for resources to facilitate some sports activities once the residents entrust him with the power to represent them in parliament.
Speaking in a jovial mood after his sub-county football team emerged the winner of the tournament, Mr. Julius Mukeri, the Kisinga Sub-county Chairperson commended Dr. Rude for his continued support to the youth.
He called upon other leaders to mind much about the young people, saying they form the biggest percent of the population that can push them to the next step.
