Learners in Kasese district have been encouraged to have focus on what they would like to become in future while they are still in schools.

The encouragement was sounded last evening by the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime while addressing students at Bwera Secondary School during their Career Guidance Session.

Hon. Kabbyanga explained that it would be better for the students to choose the courses they would like to study at some tertiary institutions as early as senior one.

He also suggested to the students to opt for science related courses and subjects which he said currently highly demanded.

Kabbyanga implored the P.T. Committees to devise means of uplifting education for the boy-child after realizing that everyone was advocating for the girl-child little knowing that both of them would make families.

Mr. Yokonia Bwambale, the Head teacher at Bwera Secondary School told the Minister that he was happy for the continued support given to the institution by government.

He, however, appealed to Minister Kabbyanga to lobby government to support the construction works of a multipurpose hall at the school.
