50 Choir members from South Rwenzori Diocese leave for Namugongo

A delegation of 50 Choir members from South Rwenzori Diocese has today left Kasese district for the Uganda Martyrs’ celebrations in Namugongo, Wakiso District.

The celebrations are slated for June 03rd, 2024. South Rwenzori Diocese is among the six Dioceses from the Mid-western region of Uganda that will lead the celebrations.

Others Dioceses include Masindi – Kitara, Bunyoro, Ruwenzori, East Ruwenzori and West Rwenzori.

Rev. Alice Nabirye Mbusa, the Diocesan Coordinator of Education Uganda who led the delegation asked the Christians to keep praying for them as they travel such a long distance.

Mr. Gilian Mafunguro, the Choir Instructor, told Messiah Radio that he was optimistic that his team would perform excellently following serious trainings that they have been having.

According to him, this becomes the second time for South Rwenzori Diocese to be among the leading teams with the first being in 2008.

Mr. Richard Munoli from St. Peter’s Nyakasanga Parish, who is in-charge of welfare for the delegation, commended South Rwenzori Diocese for providing all what is required for the group to perform as expected.

Ms Enid Tumusiime commonly known as Lady Kitara, an Employee of South Rwenzori Messiah Radio who is also a member of the Choir described the opportunity as a blessing in her life and the entire family.
