125 FDC members defect to the ruling NRM party in Karambi sub- county

BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

At least 125 members of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) from Karambi Sub-county in Bukonzo County West, Kasese District have defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

They pronounced their allegiance to the ruling party yesterday at Bethsaida Church of Uganda in Kyasenda village and officially received by the Sub-county NRM Chairperson, Mr. William Mwanamwolho who later handed them to the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kime.

The defectors noted that they decided to join the ruling party after getting tired of being on the opposition side which according to them was full of lies.

Others said they decided to defect because of the two FDC factions of Katonga and Najjanankumbi that they alleged had caused confusion within the party.

In his remarks, Minister Kabbyanga asked the defectors to sensitize their colleagues who are still in the opposition about the importance of belonging to the ruling party. He subsequently commissioned them to be ambassadors of their new party so that it registers victory in the 2026 General Elections.

Membership of fdc is by card, these might be supporters not members,

How many cards did they receive from the the so called members of the mighty fdc to Nrm.

Good enough they mentioned which they want from him. Little knowing why most defectors change for purposes of gaining something but not giving votes in the basin.
