A road accident has claimed the life of one person in Hima Town Council, Busongora County North in Kasese district.
SP Nelson Tumushime, the Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson has confirmed the incident that happened last night at around 9:30pm.
According to him, a link bus registration number UBR 626Z knocked a tricycle.
The Regional Police Mouthpiece, who didn’t immediately reveal the details of the deceased person, reported that other people who were travelling on the said tricycle were severely injured and rushed to a health facility for treatment.

He attributed the accident to the tricycle which according to him was not having head lights, a reason why the bus rammed into it.
He used the same platform to warn all road users to follow the safety rules through observing all the signs in order to avert related incidents as schools prepare to open their doors for first term.
