The Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has called upon the Bayira who could have joined the ADF rebels or are collaborating with them to desist from the practice and surrender themselves to government.

The Omusinga sounded the call last evening while addressing from Kambasa County Chiefdom (Bukonzo County West) at Bwera Playground in Mpondwe – Lhubiriha Town Council.

The Omusinga explained that the activities of ADF rebels are not good to the community because they destabilize peace, advising that those who might be among the group or collaborating with the rebels to surrender so that they live peacefully with the government.

He also thus courted his subjects to be patriotic to the government and cooperate with the security agencies so that peace continues to prevail in the country.

He, however, appealed to government to devise means of deploying at all schools located along the border with DRC in a bid to protect the learners from being attacked by wrong elements in society.

Lt. Joe Walusimbi, the Kasese RDC requested the Omusinga to join government in the fight against the ADF rebels from the region.

In his remarks, the Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Eliphaz Muhindi Bukombi, revealed that he was happy that the message of peace that was delivered by the Rwenzururu Queen, Agnes Ithungu Asimawe in 2020 created a good impact in the community.
