Concerned NRM supporters in Kasese Municipality have suggested that the joint campaign rallies for the candidates competing for the position of the Member of Parliament should be suspended after allegedly witnessing a team of suspected sponsored people disrupting the said rallies with loud noise.

The loud noise at different political rallies has not only worried the residents but also the party leaders.

The leaders and concerned party members allege that the candidates’ manifestos might not be understood by the electorate following the noise from a group of youth.

They sounded the remarks today afternoon after observing that the group disturbed a rally that was held at St. Mark Railway Church of Uganda and later at Kidodo Market in the Central Division.

Mr. Joseph Musisale, the Kasese District NRM Deputy Registrar noted that such a group of people has an intention of disrupting the party’s efforts to conducting free and fair elections.

Ms. Grace Asaba, a member of the District NRM Party Executive Committee, has since warned the public to observe discipline while attending rallies for the people to understand the candidates’ messages.

In his remarks, the Central Division NRM Party Chairperson, Mr. Gideon Masereka Black who also condemned the act, revealed that disrupting activities of the party is punishable by law.
