Kasese Tourism Investor’s Forum in partnership with Kasese District Local Government will conduct a Community Bio-diversity Run, which is one of the components of the 2024 Rwenzori Theluji Festival.
The Rwenzori Theluji Festival is an annual tourism event that involves a number of activities including Miss Tourism Rwenzori, Cultural and Trade Expo and Exploring Kasese among others.
In an official document dated June 28, 2024 and signed by the Kasese District Sports Officer, Mr. Jerome Kahyana and the Chairperson of the Organization Committee for Rwenzori Theluji Festival, Mr. Charles Mugisa Police, a copy of which Messiah Radio has obtained, the 21 kilometer Community Bio-diversity Run shall be held on July 20, 2024 in all sub-counties across the district.
According to the document, the best runners at sub-county levels would be invited to participate in the subsequent run the district level on August 10, 2024 with the sole purpose of identifying, nurturing and developing talents ahead of the 2024 Rwenzori Theluji Festival with the Mt. Rwenzori International Marathon as the climax.
The general public in Kasese has thus been encouraged to interest themselves in participating in the Community Bio-diversity Run.
