The Executive Director at Uganda Youth Forum in the Office of the First Lady has donated two million shillings to Kasese Arsenal Fans Club Limited with a call on the youth to embrace the culture of saving.
Mr. Leonard Imanishimwe, who was represented by Mr. Neckson Thaheramboko, delivered the donation yesterday to the beneficiaries in Kasese town.
In a verbatim written message, Mr. Imanishimwe encouraged the youth to embrace the idea of forming saving groups that would help them support the economic projects as well as education to those who are still in school.
He, however, challenged the management of Kasese Arsenal Fans Club Limited to be transparent in all the activities that they do so as to pave way for development and sustainability of their projects.
Mr. David Musema, the Group’s Chairperson while receiving the money applauded Mr. Imanishimwe for his continued support to the youth in Kasese Municipality.
He pledged that as the youth, they would rally behind all government programmes for their economic empowerment.
Ms. Asiimwe Biira, the Treasurer for Kasese Arsenal Fans Club-Limited pledged to use the donated money to initiate a loan’s scheme that would benefit the members.
