Cultural promoters in Kasese district have been called upon to form associations that would help them promote cultural tourism in the district.
The call was sounded yesterday by Mr. Dan Ndahura Kashagama II, the self claimed leader of the Basongora while speaking while addressing the press at his Ikamiro Royal Palace along the Kihara road in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality.
Kashagama says people with various cultural skills need to be organized and showcase them so that they are able to get some money to uplift their talents, appealing to the cultural institutions to take lead in organizing people with different skills for the purposes of promoting the tourism sector.
He calls for cultural preservation adding that Rwenzori is well known in Africa because of some touristic features that need a joint effort from all the stakeholders to be conserved.
