Believers in Christ have been challenged to lead a life anchored on principle and values since they have the potential to create a strong legacy.
Rt Rev Nason Baluku, the bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, Christians must be mindful of what legacy they are creating today that will be celebrated when they are long gone to be with the Lord.
Bishop Baluku made the remarks this evening at St Paul’s Cathedral in his eulogy during the requiem service of the late Rev Can Steven Mukirania alias Kihitha who passed on yesterday at Fort Portal Regional Hospital-Buhinga.
According to Bishop Baluku, the deceased Can Mukirania, who was also the first diocesan secretary of South Rwenzori Diocese, was a calm man who played a pivotal role in the spiritual and physical development of the diocese.
The prelate revealed that the deceased was a selfless person who lived an exemplary life that inspired many believers into priesthood.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Rev. Asa Masereka Kiryaghe who doubles as the Diocesan Director of Education used the same podium and asked the laity to continue giving the moral support needed during these hard times.
The body of the late Rev. Can. Mukirania has been conveyed to his ancestral home in Kisinga Town Council where he will be laid to rest on Saturday. ENDS.
