The Kasese Municipal Health Authorities have decried some budget cuts that have led to delay in the maintenance of Kidodo Composite Plant.
Christopher Kabagambe, the Municipal Principal Health Inspector while speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview at his office in Kasese town yesterday, said the authorities were already aware of plight of the residents living near the composite plant.
According to him, the residents complain of the alleged reckless of garbage near their homes but the resources to aid the health authorities maintain the plant are scarce to have the work completed.
He, however, assured the residents that despite the budget cuts, the authorities would try as much as possible to carry out some maintenance works within this week.
He courted the residents to join hands in ensuring that Kasese town is always kept clean.
The Municipal Principal Health Inspector also pledged to meet the contractors to forge ways of creating a better way of having garbage placed in the right places for easy collection.
