Ministers Mbadi and Kabbyanga to hold a joint thanksgiving ceremony

Preparations are underway ahead of the thanksgiving ceremony organized by the Minister of State for Trade Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi and the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime.

Slated for October 27 this year, the function will take place at Kaguta Grounds in Nyakatonzi Sub-county.

During the function, the two Ministers of State will give thanks to God and the sitting National Resistance Movement led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for rewarding Kasese district with two ministerial positions, the positions of Chancellor of Makerere University, Resident City Commissioner, Resident District Commissioners, Presidential Advisors and the good service delivery to the district.

Yesterday, the Gen. Mbadi and Hon. Kabbyanga held an official launch of the function at Movic Motel in Mpondwe – Lhubiriha Town Council. The Launch was chaired by Mr. Nicodemus Baluku Katika, the Organizing Committee Chairperson.

Addressing the invited guests at the launch, Minister Kabbyanga said they decided to hold a thanksgiving ceremony to show their appreciations to the government and particularly President Museveni for their appointments which are beneficial not only to the people of Kasese but also the entire Rwenzori sub-region.

The function is expected to be presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni whose confirmation will, however, determine the official date.

Among the guests at the launch was Mary Maryline Kabugho Kighotha who described the function as timely and encouraged the people of Kasese district of embrace it through turning up in big numbers to welcome the Head of State.
